SNAP 2009 – Symbiosis National Aptitude Test 2009 2010

Application procedure:

Stage-1: SNAP Test:

• Register online at www.snaptest.org

• You need to upload a latest scanned photograph of own at the time of SNAP Online Registration.

• Follow the instructions for payment of Test fee of Rs. 1500/- on this website.

• Any Changes in the online application form may be made only till the closing date of Registration, November 24, 2009 Tuesday. No change is permitted in any data in any of the categories after Tuesday, November 24, 2009, under any circumstances.

• All disputes between candidate and the Symbiosis Test Secretariat shall be subject to exclusive jurisdiction of Pune city and by Arbitrator only.

• From Dec 7, 2009, Monday onwards till Dec 20, 2009, print “Admit Card” from the website. [www.snaptest.org ]

• Bring the Admit Card along with Photo Identity proof to the Test Center. (Candidates should note that authenticated Admit Card is an important document without which the candidate will not be permitted to appear for further selection processes of the institutes. If the Admit card is lost, no duplicate Admit Card will be issued. It should be preserved till all processes are over).

• Appear for the Test.

SNAP Score will remain valid for admission to all Post Graduate Programmes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for the academic year of 2010-11.

Stage-2: Submit Application fee to the desired constituent institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed University)

• Pay Rs.1000/- as Institute Application fee to the chosen institutes as instructions given on institute website.

• To apply to an institute a candidate must register for the SNAP 2009.

• The SNAP website allows a facility for online payment for application fee for many of these institutes along with online payment of SNAP fee. Complete the application procedure of the desired institute.

• Candidate may also apply from the institute website.

• Candidate can apply to more than one institute.

Stage-3: Attend the call for further selection process of the chosen institutes.

• Each institute has its own method for arriving at a cutoff, depending on its focused field as mentioned in the prospectus. For example, one Institute may have lower importance for Quantitative Section while some other Institute may have a higher importance for the same section.

• The institutes will announce a short list for attending further selection process.

• The individual institutes as per their schedules will announce admission results.

• For details of selection process and schedules please refer to the websites of respective institutes or contact the Institutes directly.

Payment of Fees through Demand Draft / Cash.

• Those candidates paying through cash or DD, should ensure the following

1. Axis Bank Challan for cash payment, or 2. Demand Drafts and Payment Advice Form for Demand Draft payment.

Get a demand draft for Rs. 1500/- from any Nationalize Bank in favor of

“Symbiosis Test Secretariat”. Payable at Pune.

Should reach Symbiosis Test Secretariat by December 1, 2009 Tuesday.

CDS 2010 – UPSC CDS 2010 – Combined Defence Services Examinanation

Eligibility Criteria:
(A) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:

(i) For Indian Military Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January, 1992 only are eligible.

(ii) For Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1989 (2nd January, 1987 in case of NCC Naval Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders) and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.

(iii) For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January, 1992 only are eligible.

(iv) For Officers’ Training Academy – (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January, 1992 only are eligible.

(v) For Officers’ Training Academy – SSC (Women Non-Technical Course): Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remained and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January, 1992.

(B) Educational Qualifications :

(i) For Indian Military Academy and Officers’ Training Academy:• Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

(ii) For Naval Academy:• B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering.

(ii) For Air Force Academy:• Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and have yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent examination by the specified dates published in Commission’s Notice for the Examination.

(C) Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2010 as given in Appendix-V of Commission’s Notice for the Examination published in Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar dated 26th September, 2009.
Application procedure:
Candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices (specified in Appendix-lll of the Notice) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees twenty only). Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination.

In case of any difficulty in obtaining Application Forms from the designated HPOs/ POs, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC’s “FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL” over Telephone No.011-23389366/Fax No.011-23387310.

FEE:

Rs.100/— (Rupees One Hundred only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. All female candidates / SC/ ST candidates are exempted from payment of Fee. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fee).

Address and last date for receipt of applications :

All applications must reach the “Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi- 110069″ either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by Courier on or before the 26th October, 2009.

However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote areas specified in the Notice the last date for receipt of applications by Post/ Speed Post only (not by Hand or by Courier) is 3rd November, 2009.
